Settings — Ability for multiple user role and user role account creation#1275

I would like to suggest adding a feature like an individual can be a student or Instructor. Just like we have it on the Udemy platform.
Without this feature, I feel like graphy is so limited. Also, bring a feature like Instructor can create his own account. instead of admin going and creating them.

1. You’d be happy to know that you can switch an individual student’s role from ‘student’ to any other role of your choice. Just go to ‘Users’, then to ‘Learners’, then to the desired learner profile. In the profile details look for the ‘Role’ dropdown. Here, select the new role of your choice. (image attached)

2. In reference to instructors being able to create their own account – we hear you. We’ve noted down this request.

Hi Harshali, that feature should be available to individual learners. Instead of admin going and changing the role. I am not sure you know about Udemy or not. As a student i can login to Instructor account as well as Student. When i login as a student i can see all the courses that i have enrolled. and when i login as instructor i can see the courses that i have created.

But here that feature is not present. Also when i change the role of learner to other role, the courses user enrolled are getting deleted when i changed the role again to learner.

This is not we expect.

Hi @Aravind Pilla , thank you for the comprehensive explanaiton of your request. We see how the ability to switch roles will be of value to users. We’ve made a note of this request.

yes I agree, we dont need different account, and make 1 account wilt multiple role
